JCCP Tokyo has designed the internship program for international students with a minimum of a bachelor's degree. Duties and responsibilities depend on the interests, skills and experience of the trainees. Interns will work in JCCP headquarter in Tokyo.



Duties and responsibilities:


Work at our Tokyo office may include:

  • - Assisting in the coordination of field and research projects;- Liaising with organizations and academic institutions specializing in conflict prevention and peace building
  • - Contributing to the maintenance and improvement of our website and eventually publishing articles in English
  • - Attending seminars and international conferences and taking minutes in English


Requirements:


The selection of JCCP interns is a competitive process. Applicants for an internship should satisfy the following criteria:

  • - Demonstrated experience and interest: Preferably you already have experience in this or a related field. If not, you should be able to demonstrate your interest in peace and conflict issues
  • - Language skills: Business English required. Japanese reading and writing skills are not required, but will be beneficial for your work in Tokyo.
  • - Computer skills: MS Office skills required. Design and website skills are desirable
  • - Availability: The minimum period of an internship is three months although we prefer longer arrangements. Interns usually work about 21 hours or 3 days per week, depending on office needs


Re-numeration:


Please note that JCCP is unable to pay interns a salary or cover the costs of settling in Tokyo. However, JCCP will reimburse interns their daily transportation costs within the city of work, as well as other domestic transportation costs related to JCCP assignments. Also, we can assist you in finding affordable accommodation in Tokyo.
